Did you know that it takes more than 300 volunteers each year to join forces with us to serve our community in the ways that we do? We have more than 85 volunteer shifts per week at both the soup kitchen and the food bank. That is an army of volunteers! From time to time our volunteer needs shift and right now we are in need of the following volunteer positions:
- Qualicum Beach Thrift Store:
Cashier – run the till to process customer purchases at the Qualicum Store - Soup Kitchen:
Dishwasher – wash dishes from the mid-day meal and run them through the sanitizer
Busser – clear tables, scrape dishes and provide to the dishwasher to be washed
Janitor – sweep/mop floors and clean bathrooms at the end of the day - Food Bank:
Client Helper – guide clients around the food bank as they shop for their food items
Reception – welcome arriving clients, check them in for their appointments, answer/return phone calls and inquiries
