This year Show Hope is offering families and professionals the opportunity to view the Empowered to Connect Conference recordings from 2018 or 2019 at their own pace and in the comfort of their own homes! This has never happened before and provides a fantastic, flexible opportunity to all to take advantage of this great learning resource. The Foster Parent Support Services Society (FPSSS) has made the recordings available to the island between May 8-29 at no charge by registering online HERE
Over the past few years we have been pleased to provide this training, in partnership with the FPSSS, for an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. Understanding the physiological and psychological effects of abuse, neglect and trauma and how these effect children’s’ behaviours and belief systems is so important when working with (or raising) children. It is fantastic material for teachers, families, professionals, grandparents, church workers and all who interact with children and youth.
